If you happen to find yourself in Georgia in late July on a day hot enough to make the devil sigh – which, to be honest, is how hot it feels just about everywhere these days – maybe make the most of it and whip up a batch of these frozen cocktail delights. With only five ingredients, you’ll soon be as cool as Tracy Byrd’s wardrobe circa 1994.
We can guarantee that you’re gonna have a ball learning how to make our Watermelon (Crawl) Margarita.
Watermelon (Crawl) Margarita
(serves 4)
4 cups frozen cubed watermelon
1/2 cup tequila blanco
1/4 cup triple sec
1/3 cup fresh squeezed lime juice
1 1/2 tbsp honey or agave
1 heaping cup of ice
Tajín for rim
lime for garnish
Add watermelon, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, honey or agave, and ice in a blender. Blend until completely smooth. Rim the glass with Tajín and pour in frozen mixture. Serve with lime.
Optional: muddle some jalapeño with tequila prior to blending to give your margaritas a lil extra kick!
And, if you drink this, don’t drive. Do the watermelon crawl.
